Introduction

Outsourcing means using external resources from other companies. This method is used by most companies mainly to minimize cost. They prefer to let other companies complete their parts of work instead of finishing it internally. There are many advantages and disadvantages of the effect of outsourcing in the workplace which will be discussed below.

Advantages

Outsourcing has changed the workplace in different ways, providing benefits to the organization. Organization saves a lot of money because they are spending less money. Also, they will not have to give benefits to the employees. There will be no need to hire more workers on permanent basis. This will save more for example on training expenses. Outsourcing provides different talent and skills from all over the world. It also allows the company to get the perfect employee. This reduces the labour cost. Disadvantages 

Employees are affected as they will have lesser pay, unsafe workplace and thus leading to less job security. At any time, they can lose their jobs. When employees see the other fellow co-worker’s jobs being outsourced, this may disrupt the workplace condition. This may cause increase in the workplace stress thus leading to conflicts among the employees. The workplace becomes less efficient resulting in less quality of the work product and services.
